Wavy is a full-face riding mask for jet skis: a sealed goggle on top, and a shield across your nose and mouth. Salt, wind and glare stay off your face for the whole ride — not just the first ten minutes.

Goggles stop at your eyes. The sea doesn't.

Ask anyone who has ridden an hour offshore what it was actually like, and you get the same answer: the salt. In your eyes. In your mouth. By the end of the hour you're riding half-blind, squinting into the glare, spitting sea water and counting the minutes back to the dock.

Sunglasses solve a quarter of that, and only until the first wave takes them off your face. Goggles solve half. Neither covers your nose or your mouth, which is where most of the spray lands once you're planing.

Pause mode

Stopped to talk, drink or cool down? Pull the shield down to your neck. The clips stay closed and the mask stays on your head. Push it up out of the way, or take the whole thing off — it's one movement either way.

Then back up before you open the throttle again. Nothing to unclip, nothing left loose on a wet seat.

It comes apart in seconds

The mouth shield clips onto the goggle frame with four clips, and comes off the same way — no tools, no force. Wash both parts separately, let them dry in the shade, clip them back together. Four clicks and it's ready for the next session.

Rinse it in fresh water after every ride. Dried salt is what scratches lenses and seizes clips, on any brand.

What Wavy is not

We would rather you know this before you buy than after.

• Not a helmet. Impact tested against particles and spray at 216 km/h. It will not protect you in a collision.
• Not for diving. Surface riding only. The shield is not a snorkel and will hold water if you submerge.
• Not polarized — on purpose. Polarized lenses can wash out LCD screens at certain angles, including the dashboard on your ski. We'd rather you could read your speed and your fuel.
• Not a flotation device, and it won't float for long — it sits on the surface for a few seconds and then goes down. If it goes in, be quick.
• Not compatible with prescription glasses. There is no room for glasses inside the frame. On the water, contact lenses are the way.

Frequently asked questions

Are the lenses polarized?
No, and that's deliberate. Polarized lenses can wash out LCD screens at certain angles — including the dashboard on your ski, which is where your speed and fuel live. We chose readability over a marketing bullet.

Does it float?
Not really. It stays on the surface for a few seconds and then sinks, so if it goes in, go for it fast. What it does do is stay on your head: it's held by a strap rather than sitting on your nose, so it doesn't get taken off by spray or a hard turn the way sunglasses do.

Can I wear it over prescription glasses?
No. There isn't room inside the frame for glasses. If you need correction on the water, contact lenses are the way.

Can I breathe normally with the shield on?
Yes. The shield is a barrier against spray and wind, not a seal — air moves freely. And at a standstill you can drop it, lift it or take the mask off in one movement.

Will it fog up?
The lens is anti-fog coated. Fog happens in still air, so it clears as soon as you move. Stopped? Drop the shield.

How do I clean it?
Rinse in fresh water after every ride, inside and out, and air dry in the shade. Microfibre cloth only — paper, alcohol and glass cleaner destroy the anti-fog coating. Once a month, unclip the shield and wash both parts separately.

Will it fit me?
One size, universal fit. The strap adjusts and the frame seals at the forehead, both temples and the nose bridge.

Can I use it for anything other than jet skis?
It's built for surface riding at speed, so it works wherever spray and wind hit your face — tenders, RIBs, wake sports. Not for diving or snorkelling.
